Compromise brought together eight of Aotearoa’s brightest young playwrights to create a unique one-act anthology play, exploring the art of collaboration. Each fifteen-minute segment was co-written by a pair of playwrights with little prior connection, resulting in four distinct yet interconnected stories that navigate the theme of compromise both on and off the page.

With a creative process that mirrors the play’s content, Compromise is a dynamic, provocative, and entertaining hour of theatre, showcasing fresh voices, bold ideas, and the challenges and rewards of artistic negotiation.
